Jack is back in Bradford on Avon after his fabulous Side-Door gig in March of last year. If you didn't catch him then (or even if you did!), we can highly recommend his combination of high-quality on-stage wit and repartee, virtuoso guitar and some of the most original songs around on the circuit today.
Sunday 19th March 2017 at the Wiltshire Music Centre, Ashley Road, Bradford on Avon. Tickets £10 Box office 01225 860 100 or online.
Jack Harris was a South by South-West showcasing artist at 17. He was also the youngest, as well as the only non-American person ever to win the New Folk song writing award at the Kerrville Folk Festival, Texas. Previous winners included Gillian Welch, Steve Earle and Devon Sproule.
The Telegraph voted his album ‘The Flame and the Pelican’ #5 in their top 10 Roots/Folk albums of 2012. Q magazine praised his ‘unique lyrical mind’, and Maverick UK awarded the record its full 10/10 rating.
Jack is happiest when playing live. He has brought his music to a loyal, ever-growing audience, at festivals, venues and skating rinks across the world and has opened for some of Folk’s biggest names, including Anais Mitchell, Cara Dillon and Dick Gaughan. His live show is a riveting mix of song craft and theatrical story-telling, delivered with warm voice, dry humour and nimble, string-picking fingers. Come on out of an evening. You’ll see.
